Just a FYI
I've cut my friends list down a bit: I don't think any of those removed will mind, since they were mainly people who had removed me, or who I've never spoken to. :-) Besides which, I'm finding I have less&less time for livejournal at the moment, and my friends list was getting a little overwhelming.

hey, I think I sorta know you... your name sounds familiar. I think you might be friends with my sister, actually. Small world. :-)

Since there are 8 other matches for Melbourne University, I've decided to take a look in their livejournals (being also in Melbourne University, Year 1 Law, and very bored, and merrily ignoring my readings). ^^;;
so... hello! : ) Um. I'd go now. *grins*

I actually just finished at melbourne i did commerce/law. and readings are meant to be ignored in first year ... let me guess, HPL and TPL??? lol.
and excuse the dodgy typing, I am actually typuing this in a net cafe in barcelona and their keyboards here are all different and it's not doing wonders for my typing skills!

I don't think you know me but I got your name from Rubzkeynes's LJ. I hope you don't mind :)
You made a really interesting comment in her diary (about making friends at uni only to have session end - that always happens to me!) and I thought I'd check out your LJ, and... wow! It's gorgeous!
I was kinda hoping, if it's not too much trouble, if you can tell me the code/overrides you used to get it that way? I'd be so so happy :)
Thanks,
Jas :)

no problem, it isn't my doing at all - I got the layotu from
and I'm glad I wasn't the only person that happened to at uni! it seemed to happen *all* the time. My university was just too big. :/

Anyway, it's nice to meet you!
and yes, it happens often at my uni (UNSW) and I just fee so lonely because of it sometimes! But then, you stick to the friends you have and try to make the most of it, you know?

*nods* I was at uni of melbourne and it's about 30,000 students so yeah... you can see how you lose people. You do have to make the most of it though! I've been working abotu two years now and really only keep in touch with two or three people from uni, but it's still nice to know them! :) I did comm/law and for some reason, it was way easier to keep track of people from my law classes... I think it was a much smaller intake or something, it was nice, anyway. :)

right now I'm doing an arts/law degree, but I've deferred law so I can do two majors in arts - and arts is really diverse, so it's hard to see the same people in different sessions, but I really liked first year law because it's a smaller faculty, and you see the same people all the time. But I figure it'll be like you say when I graduate - I'll only keep in contact with those people who really stand out.
Where are you working now, if you don't mind me asking?
btw, I've added you as a friend :)

I'm working at a medium sized law firm in Melbourne, doing articles. I don't think you do that in sydney, but it's basically your graduate year.
yeah, the arts fac at my uni was huuuugge. and you can go in so many different directions with arts, you're never going to see the same people. at least in law, you know everyone is going to do torts, property, contracts, all the basics!
